High quality and strong outdoorknife in Carbon V, originally designed by the owner of Cold Steel, Lynn Thompson.
Goal was to design a knife that could withstand the rigors of real survival and rescue work, not just look beautiful.
We think that goal was met quite sufficiently.
The knife is not too big and not too small, sports a 5 mm thick blade from Carbon V, Cold Steels own proprietary high carbon steel that is produced according to their own specifications.
It is super tough and holds an edge for a long time, yet it sharpens with ease.
This blade is also coated with a tough black polymer to keep rust at bay and reduce glare.
The tang goes fully through the structured Kraton handle with lanyard hole, so part-time use as a small crowbar is an option.
The SRK comes in a durable and weather-resistant Concealex sheath.
