Der „Golden Oriole Katana“ ist ein hochwertige und funktionelle Nachbildung einer japanische Katana.
Jede Klinge ist handgeschmiedet aus Karbonstahl und differenziell gehärtet mit der traditionelle Tonmethode.
Hierdurch bekommt die Schneide eine Härte von 60 HRC und der Klingenrücken eine Härte von 40 HRC mit eine ausgeprägte, sichtbare „Hamon“ oder Härtelinie.
Der Shinto Katana hat eine polierte Bo-hi (Furche) über fast die gesamte Klinge.
Diese reduziert das Gewicht und produziert den charakteristischer Klang bei ein perfekt ausgeführter Hieb.
Der Tsuba (Handschutz) ist mit eine Gottesanbeterin die eine Grille beobachtet verziert, der selbst von eine goldene Oriole (Vogel) gejagt wird.
Fuchi (Befestigung für Tsuba) und Kashira (Knauf) haben ein antik Finish welcher das Schwert ein authentisches Ansehen verleiht.
Der Saya (Scheide) ist aus tief blau lackiertem Holz mit eine Umwicklung (Sageo) aus blaue japanische Baumwolle.
Der Tsuka (Griff) ist mit echten Rochenhaut überzogen, der Griffwicklung (Tsuka-ito) ist aus blaue japanische Baumwolle.
Unter die Tsuka-ito sind zwei kleine Ornamente (Menuki) angebracht.
Diese Katana keine billige verchromter Wandschmuck!
Obwohl dieses Schwert sehr dekorativ ist, ist es absolut stabil und funktionell und tatsächlich für Tameshi-giri Übungen entworfen.
Die traditionelle Ton Härtungsmethode härtet die Klinge differenziell.
Dass bedeutet die Schneide hat eine sehr hohe Härte (und hohe Schnitthältigkeit), der Rücken eine niedrigere Härte für größere Zähigkeit.
Das Schwert behält seine Schneide und bricht nicht bei wiederholte starke Schläge.
Nach dem schmieden und die wichtige Hitzebehandlung wird jede Katana von Hand Rasiermesser scharf geschliffen, anschließend vom Hand poliert.
Ein sehr gutes Schwert der mittlere Preisklasse.
