Der „Praktical Katana“ bietet ausgezeichnete Qualität zu einem vernünftigen Preis.
Die Klinge ist handgeschmiedet aus Karbonstahl und differenziell gehärtet mit der traditionelle Tonmethode.
Hierdurch bekommt die Schneide eine Härte von 60 HRC und der Klingenrücken eine Härte von 40 HRC mit eine ausgeprägte, sichtbare „Hamon“ oder Härtelinie.
Der Tsuba (Handschutz), Fuchi (Befestigung für Tsuba) und Kashira (Knauf) haben ein antik Finish und verleihen das Schwert ein authentisches Ansehen.
Der Saya (Scheide) ist aus tief schwarz lackiertem Holz mit eine Umwicklung (Sageo) aus schwarze japanische Baumwolle.
Der Tsuka (Griff) ist mit Rochenhautimitat überzogen, der Griff ist mit Kunstleder umwickelt (Tsuka-ito) und liegt sehr rutschsicher in der Hand.
Unter die Tsuka-ito sind zwei kleine Ornamente (Mekuni) angebracht.
Der günstige Preis kommt zustande durch die einfache, weitgehend ungeschmuckte, Beschläge, die zwar nicht authentisch sind, aber extrem stabil gearbeitet sind um schwerste Belastungen bei Tameshi-giri aus zu halten.

Verwechseln sie diese Katana nicht mit irgendeine billige verchromter Wandschmuck!
Obwohl dieses Schwert sehr dekorativ ist, ist es absolut stabil und funktionell und tatsächlich für Tameshi-giri Übungen entworfen.
Die traditionelle Ton Härtungsmethode härtet die Klinge differenziell.
Dass bedeutet die Schneide hat eine sehr hohe Härte (und hohe Schnitthältigkeit), der Rücken eine niedrigere Härte für größere Zähigkeit.
Das Schwert behält seine Schneide und bricht nicht bei wiederholte starke Schläge.
Nach dem schmieden und die wichtige Hitzebehandlung wird jede Katana von Hand Rasiermesser scharf geschliffen, anschließend vom Hand poliert.

  • The guaranteed time to ship, is the time that is shown at the moment that you confirm your order. In some cases this time may me different than the time shown on our website earlier; for instance when we stock two items and you order three.
  • If there are any open issues regarding your order, the given time to ship will start at the time all issues are solved.
  • If you want to make use of our etching service, you should add one business day to the given time.
  • The rebate that we give when your order does not ship within the guaranteed time can only be used for future orders.
