The Vulcanus Pro is a manual knifesharpener which main advantage is speed.
It can put a new edge on your knife in seconds.
It works with 2 specially shaped carbidesticks that literally cut into the metal of your knife to create a brand new edge.
Thanks to the special spring action the carbidesticks follow the cutting edge closely without damaging the bladesurface.

    Whenever you buy anything on the Internet, you want to get it as cheap as possible and you want to receive it as soon as possible.

    We cannot guarantee the time it takes for your order to arrive after we shipped it. We give an indication for all shipping services, but we do not guarantee these transit times.

    Our time to ship guarantee
    When we give you a guaranteed time to ship, and we do not ship your order by that time, you’ll receive 30% of the order amount as a rebate on future orders.

  • The guarantee only applies to orders that are placed using our website.
  • The guaranteed time to ship, is the time that is shown at the moment that you confirm your order. In some cases this time may me different than the time shown on our website earlier; for instance when we stock two items and you order three.
  • If there are any open issues regarding your order, the given time to ship will start at the time all issues are solved.
  • If you want to make use of our etching service, you should add one business day to the given time.
  • The rebate that we give when your order does not ship within the guaranteed time can only be used for future orders.
  • When you return one or more items or cancel your order, the rebate on future orders that is eventually given, will be voided. If it has already been used, we will deduct it from the refund.
  • If we do not ship in time, you must claim the rebate within 30 days.

    Nadat de defecte Vulkanus Pro geretourneerd werd, is deze vervangen door een nieuw exemplaar: CHAPEAU !
    Ik hoop er nu wat langer plezier van te hebben dan het vorige maandag-modelletje.

    Na 14 dagen gebruik in particuliere sfeer viel plotseling een van de veerarmen los. Dit blijkt te komen door een inadequate kwaliteit van de schroefbevestiging; vandaar dat ik de kwaliteit/prijsverhouding en de verwachtingscore zo laag gezet heb.
    Na contact met de leverancier kan ik deze "maandag"-uitvoering terugsturen voor vervanging. Ik hoop dat dit een incident is en dat dit zich niet blijft herhalen; de tijd zal het leren.
    Overigens moet voor de goede orde wel vermeld worden dat, toen de arm niet nog niet losschoot, dit apparaat bijzonder goed werkte en vlijmscherpe messen afleverde, zelf gekartelde messen zijn geen probleem.
    Als Vulkanus hun kwaliteit van het snij-systeem ook toepassen op de bevestigingen, dan zit 't wel snor met de prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding en verwachtingspatroon.
    Zeker vanwege de aanduiding PRO zou je mogen verwachten dat de veerarmen, glijsystemen en bevestigingen voor continue gebruik geschikt moeten zijn - gezien mijn ervaring daarmee stel ik wel vraagtekens bij het feit of dit apparaat wel geschikt is voor professioneel gebruik. Dunkt mij een uitdaging voor Vulkanus om dat waar te maken.......

    Ik had de messenslijper bij vrienden gezien. Ik zag mijn man steeds enthousiaster worden. Na een week had hij het er nog steeds over. Ik heb hem toen besteld en het aan hem cadeau gedaan. De messenslijper staat nu op het aanrecht en is een aan winst.

    Natuurlijk een belachelijke waardering: 3 x een tien! Toch is het zo. Niet alleen ziet de Vulcanus er mooi uit, hij werkt ook perfect. Ja hij is vrij prijzig, maar hij geeft je dan ook wel elke keer weer plezier. Ik was mijn eerste kwijtgeraakt tijdens de verhuizing naar Curacao, maar heb er gelijk weer 1 besteld en ook een voor mijn zwager. Zeer aan te bevelen (de Vulcanus dan en niet de zwager :-)!
