Polarion HID
The light is emitted from an arc discharge between two closely spaced electrodes hermetically sealed inside a small quartz glass tubular envelope capsule.
To operate, it requires a ballast, which supplies the proper voltage and controls the current.
The amount of light produced is much greater than with a standard halogen bulb while consuming less power, and more closely approximating the colour temperature of natural daylight.
The Polarion X-1 is a 40W portable HID searchlight. Runs on 1 Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Max output 4000 Lumens during 80 minutes with a fully charged battery.
