Shopping at Knives And Tools Online is really easy and convenient. In the next few steps we will explain how to place an order at our online shop.

Internet browser capabilities
Cookies: First of all your browser should support cookies. If your browser doesn't support cookies or if you have disabled support for cookies you will not be able to add products to the shopping cart.
SSL: Second your Internet browser should support the Secure Socket Layer protocol. This protocol is used to encrypt sensitive information like credit card numbers when it is sent over the Internet.

1) Finding the product(s) of your interest
There are two ways to find the product of your interest:
By browsing: First of all click the link 'Home' that is available in the top and bottom bar of every page. This will bring you to the home page of Knives And Tools Online. Here you find links to the major product groups. Some pages will contain other product groups and some will contain products. By clicking links to other product groups you will get deeper into our website and finally you will end up at a page containing products only. By clicking a product you will go to the product page that will give a detailed description of the product and that will give the possibility to add it to the shopping cart. With some products you first have to select the desired model.
By using the search function: If you know the name or model of a product that you are looking for you can find it easily using the search function that is available from almost any page. Just type a part of the name of the product in the search box and press enter or click the 'Go' button. By clicking a product you will go to the product page that will give a detailed description of the product and that will give the possibility to add it to the shopping cart.With some products you first have to select the desired model.

2) Adding a product to the shopping cart
Once you have found the product of your interest you can add it to your shopping cart by clicking the 'add to card' button. Eventually you can change the quantity first to any number between 1 and 999.
You can also change the requested quantity later or remove the product from your shopping cart. You can access your shopping cart at almost any moment using the 'Shopping Cart' link from the navigation bars at the top and bottom of almost every page.
Note: If you do not perform any activity on our website for 20 minutes, your session will exprire. As a result your shopping cart will be emptied.

3) Calculating shipping costs
When you have added one or more products to your shopping cart you can calculate the shipping costs. To do this you should click the link 'click here to calculate the shipping charge'. After doing this you will be asked to specify the destination country and to choose the shipping service you prefer. The shipping charge will be automatically recalculated if you change the contents of your shopping cart.
Free Shipping: For some products we provide world wide free shipping. The moment you choose the shipping service the actual shipping costs are shown. They are not billed however.
Import Duties: For orders from outside the European Union not VAT is charged. Instead Import Duties may be charged by your local government. These are generally between 4% and 10% of the value of the imported goods and are collected at delivery or afterwards by UPS. You can read more about import duties at our FAQ page.


4) Checking out
Here are the steps to check-out, supposing that you are a new customer. If you have ordered before, you can best use your existing account for the order.
- You can check out from the shopping cart page. If you are not there, click the link 'Shopping Cart' in the navigation bar at the to or bottom of every page.
-To check out, click the button 'Check out'.
-Now you have select the destination country and click the 'Next' button
-Next you have select the shipping service for your order and click the 'Next' button
-Click the 'New customer' button
-Choose a user name and password, fill out the rest of the form and click submit.
Note: it is very important that we can contact you about your order. Therefore, please fill in at least your e-mail address and phone number.
-Check your account information and click 'Next' to proceed
-Now check your order again and choose a payment method Abroad orders can only be paid by Credit Card.
-Follow the instructions depending on the payment method you chose.


5) Checking your order status
On our home page, you can log in to your account and check your order status. As soon as your order is shipped you can also track your order from there.

6) If you want to change your order
If you want to change your order please send an e-mail to info@knivesandtools.com us as soon as possible or call us at +31 55 5763223.
If you already got a notification that your order was shipped we are still able stop it until about 15.00h Central European time. In that case you can best call us so we can act immediately.
