Resin bonded waterstone 5000 grit
Fixed on plastic baseplate with non-skid rubber feet

This stone uses resin to bind the abrasives, in this case white aluminium oxide.
It does not soak up water and requires frequent wetting, but it can tailor the wear so the binder and abrasives wear at the same rate.
The stone doesn't produce much slurry, but cuts faster than other types.It also produces a finish finer than the grit size would indicate, as the binder is slightly flexible allowing for a finer scratch pattern.

These stone works best on harder types of steel
Splash with water before and during sharpening, do not soak or store in water.

With every product on our website, we either list the guaranteed time to ship or the expected time to ship, which depends on our own stock position and the delivery time of our supplier.
We cannot guarantee the time it takes for your order to arrive after we shipped it. We give an indication for all shipping services, but we do not guarantee these transit times.

Our time to ship guarantee
When we give you a guaranteed time to ship, and we do not ship your order by that time, you’ll receive 30% of the order amount as a rebate on future orders.

Terms and conditions

The guarantee only applies to orders that are placed using our website.

The guaranteed time to ship, is the time that is shown at the moment that you confirm your order. In some cases this time may me different than the time shown on our website earlier; for instance when we stock two items and you order three.

If there are any open issues regarding your order, the given time to ship will start at the time all issues are solved.

If you want to make use of our etching service, you should add one business day to the given time.

The rebate that we give when your order does not ship within the guaranteed time can only be used for future orders.

When you return one or more items or cancel your order, the rebate on future orders that is eventually given, will be voided. If it has already been used, we will deduct it from the refund.

If we do not ship in time, you must claim the rebate within 30 days.

goede steen. wel een beetje voor fijnproevers. ik ben kok en mijn (kai shun) messen kunnen niet scherp genoeg zijn en daar zijn deze zeer fijn gekorrelde stenen uitermate geschikt voor. ze maken het verschil tussen scherp en letterlijk haarscherp. voor de freaks onder ons een must om te hebben. goede slijpstenen zijn niet zo heel makkelijk te vinden in nederland. knivesandtools.com biedt mijns inziens hierin uitkomst, door het aanbieden van een breed assortiment stenen van een japans kwaliteitsmerk.

voor deze prijs een prima wetsteen om je mes mee af te wetten, echter niet zo hard als chosera-serie waardoor je mes er wel eens in kan "snijden" dus vereist wel enige concentratie
