High quality alumina-ceramic triangular sharpening rod.
For use in the Sharpmaker or freehanded.
Sharpens anything, from knives to fishing hooks and darts.
The rods consist of synthetic sapphire, only slightly softer than diamond, 9,2 on the Mohs-scale, where diamond is 10, so you can even sharpen tungsten-carbide !
Sharpens with the 3 sides as well as the edges.
No oil or water needed, these sticks are used dry !
Comes in medium, fine or ultrafine and in its own transparant tube.

Products that we have in stock are shipped within 0 - 1 bussiness day, guaranteed. In other words, the day you place the order or the next bussiness day. On some other products we offer the same guarantee. Please read the text at the bottom of this page for more information!

Fast delivery, fair prices
Whenever you buy anything on the Internet, you want to get it as cheap as possible and you want to receive it as soon as possible.
To keep prices low, many Internet shops do not keep stock, and you will not know when your order is shipped. We do keep many products in stock, but not all. The number of products in our assortment is much larger than in any regular shop, and therefore we cannot keep all items in stock.
We do however guarantee fast shipping, on many products, and advice you on expected shipping times on other products.

Guaranteed and expected shipping time of your order
With every product on our website, we either list the guaranteed time to ship or the expected time to ship, which depends on our own stock position and the delivery time of our supplier.
We cannot guarantee the time it takes for your order to arrive after we shipped it. We give an indication for all shipping services, but we do not guarantee these transit times.

Our time to ship guarantee
When we give you a guaranteed time to ship, and we do not ship your order by that time, you’ll receive 30% of the order amount as a rebate on future orders.

Terms and conditions

The guarantee only applies to orders that are placed using our website.

The guaranteed time to ship, is the time that is shown at the moment that you confirm your order. In some cases this time may me different than the time shown on our website earlier; for instance when we stock two items and you order three.

If there are any open issues regarding your order, the given time to ship will start at the time all issues are solved.

If you want to make use of our etching service, you should add one business day to the given time.

The rebate that we give when your order does not ship within the guaranteed time can only be used for future orders.

When you return one or more items or cancel your order, the rebate on future orders that is eventually given, will be voided. If it has already been used, we will deduct it from the refund.

If we do not ship in time, you must claim the rebate within 30 days.

bij mijn sharpmaker heb ik een van de ultrafijne staafjes gekocht. dit staafje slijpt inderdaad heel erg fijn. als ik er een mes mee heb geslepen is de snijrand zo glad dat je jezelf erin ziet als in een spiegel en haarscherp. een erg goede aanvulling bij je sharpmaker dus

Gekocht om een oude welke kapot was gevallen te vervangen. Zeer goede kwaliteit. Je moet wel oppassen met de staafjes, als je ze laat vallen op een harde ondergrond breken ze meteen in meerder stukken. Ze zijn echter wel zeer goed en simpel te gebruiken om een mes of een stuk gereedschap scherp te maken dan wel te houden

Bij veelvoudig gebruik neigen deze staafjes tot uitholling. Rechten is bijna niet mogelijk ook niet met glasplaat en watervast schuurpapier. Gaat wel maar het lijkt alsof de structuur van het slijpoppervlak veranderd. Het duurd dan langer om het gewenste slijpresutaat te verkrijgen.

Het ultrafine staafje is een goede aanvulling op de sharpmaker set: Let er wel op dat er twee nodig hebt om niet te hoeven 'overpakken'.
