It is the bigger version of the classic Opinel. Price/quality is on point. Good steel that can be sharpened to a high level. Off the box it was with a reasonable grind and sharp edge. However it is for the second time that i receive an Opinel with the knife point with messed up grind and edge. Fortunately I was able to correct this one too.

It's a long bladed Opinel knife with a stainless blade so it doesn't tarnish like their other non-stainless blades do if that bothers you. It's just a really lovely all purpose knife, lockdown has seen it move straight into Kitchen use and with the exception of fine chopping it's handy for all sorts of things. Will probably get another one for the garden/whittling/DIY when I need to.

A genuine design 'classic' - this is the 10 cm Opinel folding pocket knife which I ordered after seeing one being used constantly by a friend as a utility tool, during a field trip in Africa. The number of times he used it, combined with the simplicity of the design and its traditional look, ensured that I looked into purchasing one myself when I got home. Knives &Tools (UK) seemed to be competitive and had good reviews and so I ordered one. What can I say; fast delivery, item in perfect condition and it's nice to own one myself. It's a very tactile, robust and useful knife and I'd recommend it to anyone. Based on this, my only purchase from them, I'd also highly recommend KNIVESANDTOOLS.CO.UK
