In just two words: excellent knife! It is very sharp out of the box but even after a thorough wash, it left a metallic taste. The solution to this was to force patina on it with hot vinegar. This in turn quite changed the looks: the black fell off and the knife is a medium shade of gray now. With respect to cutting, it is simply superb. It glides through tomatoes with just its own weight. Be very careful! I personally doubt a better knife could be had for this kind of money.

You will not find any other blue paper steel knives made to this quality and price. Given knives of this series are much cheaper than damast knives, equally sharp/hard but less fancy, they are my first choice. I'm glad I bought it.

The knife is beautifully designed and of very high quality. It is razor sharp which is great but one need to be extra careful as the blade is very hard and very thin easy to chip. Which I managed to do on a fish bone. Fortunately easy to sharpen and I managed to repair and now as good as before. The blade is relatively easy to get scratches or spots so need to care about that but it is not anything that should scare anyone away. This is a great knife that makes any cutting work a pleasure.
