A huge improvement from our old kitchen knife! The top-quality Victorinox steel comes very sharp out of the box as my teenage son will attest, after cutting his finger with some sloppy knifework. The handle is ergonomic, thick and easy to grip securely. The only thing of note is that this is a thick knife, from the top to the bottom of the blade, so measure this if you have a small-ish knife rack.

Another excellent Victorinox knife... this bread knife is razor sharp, with a comfortable handle. Above all it is very long and makes using a bread slicing guide extremely easy. It cuts perfect slices of bread, even when warm from the oven, with great ease.
