The **MKM Yipper** is an EDC knife designed by Ben Petersen. The Yipper is the result of Ben's first collaboration with MKM. This knife was named after the barking noises (yipping) of coyotes that live in Ben's place of birth. The knife even resembles a little yipping coyote, but not in a bad way. The Yipper is a friendly-looking EDC blade that bites into all your daily cutting tasks.

## Blade made from CPM MagnaCut steel

The blade is made from CPM MagnaCut. One of the most talked-about steels of the past years. It is a stainless type of tool steel. With a comparable toughness and sharpness retention of carbon steels such as CPM-CruWear, CPM-4V and Vanadis 4. The corrosion resistance is also sublime. Better than the popular stainless types of steel such as CPM S110V, CPM S45VN and Böhler M390. Awesome!

## Crossbar Lock

The Crossbar Lock is a nice, symmetric locking mechanism. It is easy to use by both left and right-handed users. A cool feature about the lock is that you can adjust the strength of the spring yourself. When you remove the scales, you will see four adjustment holes in the steel liners. By moving the end of the spring further or closer to the Crossbar Lock, you adjust the strength of the locking mechanism.

## G10 handle

The handle is made from sturdy G10. The handle is nicely-finished. The diagonally milled lines make for a sleek look and improve your grip. The Yipper is equipped with a deep-carry pocket clip that allows you to carry it discreetly and securely in your pocket. The pocket clip can be adjusted to make sure it can be used by both left and right-handed users.

## About Ben Petersen

You might know Ben Petersen as the designer of the WE Knife Banter and Civivi Baby Banter. And of course, from his own brand: Knafs! Ben worked in the knife industry with Blade HQ and CRKT for 8 years. But besides that, he also had many ideas for cool products that did not necessarily fit within those frameworks. So, he decided to design stuff for himself. It all started with a poster containing all info he had on knives. Soon after, many more cool knife-related products followed suit.

## About MKM

MKM is a cooperation between Viper, LionSteel, Fox and Mercury. Four masters working in the Italian knife industry. It is no coincidence that they all come from the city of Maniago in northern Italy. It is the knife capital of the south of Europe. MKM stands for Maniago Knife Makers.

Un couteau au top. Taille super pour un EDC, acier génial. Forme de lame pas mal, pas totalement plate donc cool. 
Le seul hic c'est pour réglé la résistance du ressort de "l'axis lock", il faut démonter tout le couteau. Et avec des vis bidon, ben maintenant elles tiennent plus.. le clip poche est donc enlever pour l'instant. 
Ils auraient pu rajouter une deuxième "plaque" pour justement mettre de l'autre côté à la place du clip poche. Pour ceux qui ne s'en servent pas.

Dans l'ensemble ce couteau est génial quand même. Puis du magnacut à ce prix... Que demander de plus 👌🏼
