The Fenix PD35 TAC is the renewed tactical version of the well-known Fenix PD35. The torch has a so-called "crowned bezel". This means the edge of the head is crowned. The TAC version also has a side switch made out of steel instead of rubber.


The specs of the PD35TAC show that it is completely up to date. It can go up to 1000 lumens and has a range of 200 metres according to the ANSI standard. It is watertight according to IPX-8 standard. The biggest difference is the way the light operates. The lamp has an outdoor mode and a tactical mode. In the outdoor mode you select between the different light strengths by means of the switch on the side. When you press the side switch for 5 straight seconds you switch to the tactical mode. What makes it tactical is that all the controls are now situated on the bottom switch of the torch.
