Bought this kit to look after my backpacking knives etc. Unfortunately "she who must be obeyed" has realised that it will also service all the kitchen knives! - another lesson learned 🧐

If you are a beginner like me it is good to know that the 2000 and 5000 stones are very soft. That means that if you start using them and the angle of the knife you are sharpening is not quite as it should be the knife can cut into the stone, leaving you with a bumpy surface. This is not poor quality of the product be lack of skills my part :-) The 5000 stone is more a polishing stone that a sharpening stone, I got a nice shining surface using this stone.
