Knivesandtools specialises in a number of product groups. Within these groups we offer a very deep and diverse range of unique products. We test these products ourselves and when we love the products, we add them on to our web shops. We take the pictures for the website ourselves and write objective descriptions to try to let our customers make the best possible choice. Thousands of product reviews written by other customers can also help you decide with choosing a product. We keep the products we sell in stock at our own warehouse, therefore we can deliver quickly.
Knivesandtools is the name of several international websites in the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Austria. The company behind Knivesandtools is Kato Group BV from Apeldoorn. Knivesandtools was founded in 1999 and ever since we focus completely on selling beautiful products online.
Order on the website
How does ordering on the website work?
Each product you would like to order you can: "add to shopping cart". Clicking this button will take you to the shopping cart immediately. You can continue shopping and add more products to the shopping cart, or you can go to the checkout.
The ordering process consists of 4 steps:
This is an overview of all the products in the shopping cart. You can change the number of products you would like to order. If you have received a coupon code you can enter it here (gift cards you can exchanged at checkout). At the bottom of the page you will find combideals and accessories that go with the selected products.
2. Enter your information
Here you can enter your personal information which will be on the invoice. If you would like to choose a different delivery address you can select that here.
3. Confirm your order
With confirming your order you agree to our terms and conditions. From this moment the products are reserved for you for 24 hours. As soon as you make the payment the sale is final. If you want to finish your order at another time, you automatically get an e-mail with the link to complete the order later.
4. Payment options
Here you can choose your payment method.
Change or cancel the order
If you want to adjust or cancel your order please call our customer service team directly. They know exactly where your order is located, and they can help you quickly with anything concerning your order. If your order has already been sent we can help you track the current status and/or explain to you how you can make sure the parcel is returned to us.
The current status for each product is displayed on the website. When a product is sold out we let you know by which time we expect the product back in stock. Our goal is to have every product in stock, but we are always dependent on manufacturers and suppliers whether that is possible.
Redeem a Gift Card
Gift Cards can be redeemed at Step 4 in the checkout process. Select the payment method and fill out the gift certificate code.
Gift Cards can be spent on multiple orders when the amount is not totally used. The Gift Card cannot be exchanged for cash.
Please note: A Gift Card is different from a voucher code. A voucher code is a promotional code we have given out for a specific product. This voucher code can be redeemed at Step 1 of the checkout process.
You can pay in advance by bank transfer. Once you have chosen to do a bank transfer we provide you with all the information needed. Please note that it may take up to a day before the money appears in our account.
Verified By Visa provides extra security to both the credit card holder and the credit card merchant. Owners of a Visa card can protect their card with a personal password that is required when making payments over the internet.

You can pay with your American Express card. Please note that because of the low level of security of American Express, we sometimes need to verify your payment sometimes at American Express. This can take an extra day and delay the shipping time.
We ship out our parcels via GLS which transfers them to your local mail carrier.
When ordered before 6 pm. we can ship the order out the same day. You will then receive the package within 2 working days.

After we have processed your order, and we are ready to ship it, you will receive a tracking code so you can track where your parcel is.
Orders with an engraving
An engraving does not delay the shipping time of your order.
Returns, exchanges and warranty
The return process
For a return we ask you to contact us via phone or via our contact form. Then you will receive a return ticket and the appropriate return data for the return shipment, please note that we do not cover these costs. Print the return label and send it along with your return. Please enclose a note explaining what you would like us to do with your return.
After we have received the product back, it will be checked by a product specialist. After the product is checked the return is transferred to our customer service. They handle the rest of the process and will get in touch with you.
Return shipments are at the risk of the consumer. Kato Group BV is not liable for losing or damaging returns.
Refunding a returned item
You will be refunded when we receive the product back in a good state and in its original packaging. Also you must have informed us about wanting to return the product within the 30 day cooling-off period. After the product has been checked you will receive your money back within 7 days. We refund you through the payment method you have used to pay.
If the packaging of the product is damaged or missing we cannot sell the product any longer. Therefore you will receive 75% of your money back. For used and damaged products please refer to the warranty conditions. For these products we cannot give a refund.
For the items you have bought from us there is the manufacturer's warranty. These terms are different per manufacturer. We only sell quality products, but even these beautiful products can sometimes have something wrong with them. We will of course help you with solving any of these problems. If there is anything wrong and you want to claim it under warranty, please get in touch with us.
We always try to offer an appropriate solution to faulty products, but when we cannot solve it over the phone then you can send the item to us free of charge. We will try to fix the problem ourselves or ship it back to our supplier. If a repair is not possible we can replace the product or find a different solution for you.
Here you can find our return form. Please get in touch with us for a return number so we can process your return.
You can personalise your product by adding a laser engraving. Most kitchen knives, pocket knives and multitools can be engraved. Please see whether there is enough room on your product for an engraving. We can engrave text and images for you and you can create your own design in our new Design Tool . A laser engraving does not damage the product since it is placed on top of the product.
By adding "Order with Engraving" to your shopping cart you can start the engraving process. We would like to hear from you what you would like engraved, what size it has to be and where exactly on the product it should be placed. You can send us a reply on the order confirmation e-mail we send to you.
We sell many articles that are suitable as business gifts. Many of our products can be engraved with a company logo or special text. Please contact us for more information or send us an inquiry via firstname.lastname@example.org
B2B and government
B2B customers as well as public authorities can also buy products in our webshop. If you have a special request, or want a larger number of products, please contact us to discuss the possibilities.
We can also deliver to companies outside the UK. Please note that the delivery times can differ. When you choose the desired destination country during checkout the right shipping costs are automatically calculated. You can also visit Knivesandtools in France, Germany, Belgium or the Netherlands.
Customers outside the European Union never have to pay VAT. However, it is common to have to pay local VAT and import duties. Companies within the European Union, with the exception of Dutch companies, do not pay VAT when they email us their VAT number. We will create an invoice without VAT. Whether VAT has to be paid depends on what countries decide for themselves.
