The **Böker Magnum Ranger Field Bowie 02SC001** is a large fixed knife, inspired by the famous USMC knife. The same design with the handle made from stacked leather discs, but still slightly different.



This edition is, for instance, enhanced with a knife guard and pommel made from G10, instead of the heavier steel. As such the Böker Ranger Field Bowie only weighs 170 grams, despite its size.



The blade is made from stainless 7Cr17MoV. Easy to sharpen, and for a stainless type of steel quite tough. To prevent rust the blade is enhanced with a matt-black coating.



To keep the Böker Magnum Ranger Field Bowie close it comes with a cool leather belt sheath with press-stud.

Ondanks het lichte gewicht, toch een beuker van een mes. mooie balans tussen praktisch en tactisch. 

Used it as my camping knife for a weekend. It done everything very well and for the money it’s a bargain. I used it straight from the box. 5 stars all day long.

Ik hoor vaak mensen met een nogal kritische mening over dit mes wat ik best onterecht vindt. Voor deze prijs krijg je namelijk echt veel mes ben ik van mening, je kan niet verwachten dat je het beste van het beste krijgt als dit mes aanschaft. 

Dat gezegd hebbende wil ik laten weten wat mijn ervaring is met dit prima stukje staal. 

Ik ben zelf echt niet weg te krijgen van het leren handvat en holster. Top materiaal, leer gaat lang mee, en heeft een super mooie look. Beter als de kunststof schedes van tegenwoordig die het lemmet beschadigden als je ze van de schede verwijderd. 

Het mes zelf is prima, goed te gebruiken voor wat klein hout splijten en het villen van dieren, ook een grote fan van de zwarte coating. Ook het handvat vindt ik fijn, ik ben het eens dat het handvat wat slipperig kan zijn als het wat vochtiger is. Maar dit is voor mij niet zo'n probleem.  

Prima mes voor de prijs waar je hem voor koopt. En zoals altijd top service door knives and tools.



Zeer mooi mes. Iets groter, maar niet te groot. Ligt heel goed in de hand. Zeer mooi afgewerkt. Snijdt perfect.

Is een mooi ogend mes dat prachtig afgewerkt is.
