The Cold Steel Trail Boss is light and compact enough to carry with you all day. At the same time he is heavy and strong enough for all the tasks for which you are buying an axe. The head of the Trail Boss is designed in European style which ensures that wood is easily split. The grip is made of high quality American Hickory. This type of wood is ideal against the great powers with which the steel is in charged during chopping.   
   


The head is precision forged from 1055 Carbon steel, with an average hardness and therefore easy to sharpen in the field.

Good solid axe. But bigger that expect but great

lovely compact axe. Handy to have in your garden if you have a lot of trees or when camping. I used this when taking up some old stumps and after clearing around the roots this made short work of them and made taking up the stump very easy
