Edge Pro recommends using a sharpening steel with grain size 1200 to remove the last burrs during the last step in the sharpening process. This sharpening steel is larger than the one that comes with the Apex 2, 3 or 4.   
  

**Grain size of the Edge Pro sharpening stones**
The sharpening stones from the Edge Pro Sharpening system appear to be very coarse when compared to the Japanese sharpening stones. It is because multiple scales are used for the grain size of sharpening stones. An Edge Pro grain 400 is comparable to a 700 grit Japanese sharpening stone. And a 1000 grain from Edge Pro can be compared to a 2700 grit Japanese stone. When you keep in mind that you can polish with tapes with an Edge Pro grain 6000 you will understand that the sharpness you can achieve is unparalleled. It is, however, still guesswork to know what the exact similarities are. The Edge Pro stones are finer than you might initially think. Voor mij is het voornamelijk visfileermessen aanzetten en dat lukt perfect hiermee.
Ideaal is ook het rubberen uiteinde, waarmee je steun kan vinden op een werkblad. 
Voor deze prijs hoef je echt niet verder te zoeken.
