**Locking mechanism** 

LockThis knife is equipped with locking on the blade (back-lock type). This lock ensures safety, which makes an extra spring in the knife unnecessary. As such the knife opens and closes lightly.

The blades from the Fontenille Pataud Gentleman Series initially seem more expensive than the blades from other manufacturers, but you immediately get all the options for which you have to pay extra with other brands:

  * The bee and spring are forged from one piece of steel (instead of welded)

Je voelt direct aan het gewicht dat dit mes van hoge kwaliteit is.
In open stand zit het lemmet perfect vast en is er geen enkele speling te merken.
Makkelijk te openen en ligt goed in de hand.
Het mes is al scherp geslepen tijdens de productie.
Komt met een mooi lederen beschermhoesje zodat er geen krassen opkomen van kleingeld of sleutels.
Ik gebruik het in mijn tekenstudio om potloden te scherpen, appels te eten, verpakkingen te openen enz...
Duur maar zeer goed en elegant. Een zakmes dat je normaal nooit meer hoeft te vervangen

Mooi formaat, voor zowel in de hand als in de broekzak. Geweldig afgewerkt. De staalsoort is in 2015 opgewaardeerd naar 14C28N. 

Mooi klein zakmes. Wordt geleverd met een bijpassend etui zonder optie om aan de riem te bevestigen. Maar dat is geen probleem. Het mes is klein genoeg voor in de broekzak en erg licht qua gewicht.
Kwam scherp geleverd. Het lemmet is mirror polished en de zwarte buffelhoorn is mooi glad afgewerkt. Het lemmet is wel aan de korte kant, maar dikker dan de 12cm laguiole.
Mooie mes voor de collectie. Te mooi om het iedere dag te dragen. Zonde als er krassen op komen.

Ben gevallen voor dit mes vanwege de robuuste uitstraling in tegenstelling tot de normale messen van dit merk.
Ik ben niet teleurgesteld;wat een prachtig mes zeg! ik krijg iedere keer weer een voldaan gevoel als ik zie met welk vakmanschap dit met is gemaakt!
pluspunt voor Knives & tools voor de vlotte levering.
klein minpuntje: op de site stond dat een hoes wordt meegeleverd die je aan je riem kunt bevestigen, dit was in mijn geval niet zo, ik heb een mooi leren hoesje ontvangen dat echter niet was voorzien van een riemclip of iets dergelijks. uit telefonische navraag bij Knives & tools bleek dat zij daar geen invloed op hebben, daar de leverancier zomaar kan besluiten om het anders te doen.
Ik heb inmiddels via-via een prachtig hoesje op de kop kunnen tikken voor mijn prachtige mes.
