The **Imperial Stockman Black Swirl IMP16S** is a classic slipjoint pocket knife. This Stockman has three blades: clip point, spey and sheepsfoot. It's a real classic, following the famous Stockman tradition. 



The blades are made from 3Cr13MoV. This is a simple stainless steel. It's easy to sharpen and therefore perfect for everyone. You open the blades with two hands and a slipjoint then locks the blades when opened. Not a real lock, merely some resistance. This means you can legally carry this knife almost anywhere. The handle is a 'black swirl', a kind of acrylic with a metallic graphic, reminiscent of a photo of the cosmos.



For traditional multi-blade knives, the specifications are based on the largest blade.

Imperial belongs to Schrade Knives. They make great knives at great prices. This is what Imperial excels at. There are few brands that can compete with these kinds of prices. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Not something to worry about, and in line with the prices.

Von diesem Stockman habe ich nicht viel erwartet, habe ihn aber dank des Preises von nur knapp über 10 Euro gekauft.
Ich war positiv überrascht: von kleinen Fit&Finish Fehlern (s.u.) abgesehen macht das Messer einen guten Eindruck.
- Feder der Sheepfoot-Klinge ist etwas eingesunken im geschlossenen Zustand
- Spey-Blade ragt im geöffneten Zustand etwas über die Feder

Die Federn sind relativ stark, deutlich stärker als an einem Schweizer-Messer. Es gibt kein Blade-Rub.
Die Klingen sind leicht zu schärfen. Mit dem Budget-Stahl halten sie die Schärfe nicht lang, was zu erwarten ist. 
Das einzige, was mich etwas stört, ist die Dicke der Klingen hinter der Schneidfase (dicker als an einem Schweizer-Messer). Dennoch ist das Taschenmesser gut zu gebrauchen, robust und für mich eine positive Überraschung.
