This is going to last me many years as part of my fire starting kit. Just cut a length off a stick, drill an hole and carry it around with your fero rod, just a little of this highly flammable wood, either scrape it with the back of the blade or feather a bit off. It’s so full of resin it will burn easy. It’s very economical when used this way. I could dig a root or knot from the base of a conifer but this is probably richer in resin
