Shot Show 2019: the newest Kershaw pocket knives
For years Kershaw has been one of our favourite brands when it comes to affordable pocket knives. It is therefore not that surprising that we couldn't wait to hear more about the newest models and the story behind the origin of the design. This year Kershaw once again delivered. They introduced a wide range of new knives. The best time to take a closer look? Yes, at the 2019 Shot Show!
The Kershaw Antic, our favourite
One of the new models that really stands out is the Antic. This pocket knife is related to the very popular Kershaw Shuffle. A wonderful EDC knife with an unbeatable price-quality ratio. Kershaw took another look at the Shuffle and built on the design elements that make the Kershaw Shuffle so special. With the Antic we can see that, like with the shuffle, the back of the handle functions as a bottle opener and crowbar. Kershaw once again used this popular combination in the design of the Antic by means of the karambit style ring at the back of the handle. The inside of the ring is enhanced with a small tab and functions as a bottle opener, while the protruding piece at the outside of the ring functions as a pry bar.
The handle is made from blue anodized aluminium and gives the knife a playful look and feel. In general karambit-style knives look slightly aggressive. The Antic doesn't. This pocket knife is perfect for anyone looking for an karambit-style EDC knife that doesn't look too intimidating.
But wait, there is more...
Of course the Antic isn't the only thing Kershaw has to offer. There are many more new knives! In the video below Jim McNair, a designer for Kershaw and Zero Tolerance, shows us all the new models.
