Full description
The Böker Vigtig vs. Wild is a well-designed bushcraft knife. The knife was designed by two YouTubers who participated in the survival programme 7 vs. Wild, for which they needed to survive in the Canadian wilderness for 14 days. As a challenge, the contestants could only take items fitting inside a 1-litre bottle. That's why the handle of the knife has a hollow space, to take more items.

A brilliant knife only let down IMO by the sheath belt clip. I love everything about this, the dimensions, proportions, handle and steel. The one downside is the belt clip on the sheath. If you put it in the one position where it makes sense it's directly in the way of the thumb ramp and looks weird. Which would be find if it worked. But it doesn't. With a sheath change or redesign it would be perfect. Shame so much thought went into this except the clip. I'll look to get a new sheath made.

A really great small knife for the woods. Excellent sharpness and edge retention. It's not without problems though. The sheath only sport a pocket clip, which only fits 3 cm thickness of belts. It's too small to accommodate the most outdoor belts. The second problem is that the handle scales are coming undone when chopping or doing any other impact stuff with the knife. It's simple to close them up again, but it's really annoying that they loosen up all the time. Since the handle has a "hidden compartment" for a survival kit or such, there isn't much to do about the handle scales. Using Loctite will present a new kind of problem later on. Other then that, the knife is a really great and versatile design and the Micarta used in the handle scales feels really premium and grippy. Even though it doesn't sound like it I really like this knife and the CPM Magnacut is a really great steel. Böker Vigtig vs Wild is probably the cheapest knife is CPM Magnacut available in the world today. At least for the quality and usability. I've done some videos about it on YouTube, in Swedish.

The knife is sturdy, sturdy and sturdy. The thick spine of the blade makes it a perfect tool for tougher jobs if the length is sufficient. The grind is perfect and the blade is very sharp out of the box. With some light stropping it is scary sharp. The handle is nice and offers a good grip. An overall excellent knife. Part of this is caused by the super steel Magnacut. It really hold an edge a long time and with the promised toughness and corrosion resistance it fits the bill. But where is light there are also shadows. The robust blade with its thick stock makes the knife a little bit heavy. For my taste the knife could be 1 cm longer then it would be even more useful. I understand the origin of the concept, so that was never an option for the knife maker. So what you get is a very sturdy small knife that can be beaten to death and it will not fail. Supersteel and perfect fit and finish for a reasonable price.
