The **CRKT Squid Assisted** is a compact EDC pocket knife, designed by Lucas Burnley. This is a knife that won't scare anyone. The size is modest and the drop-point blade looks very friendly. But don't let it mislead you: this knife can handle its own. The solid frame lock ensures the blade stays in place when opened. The deep-carry pocket clip means that the knife will never fall out of your pocket. You can easily open this pocket knife with one hand. The blade is made from 8Cr14CoMov steel, which is quite a mouthful, but it's simply a great stainless steel that is easy to sharpen.

This is the Assisted Opening version of the Squid. You can quickly open this knife with the thumb stud or flipper.

One of my first edc blades. I love the weight, size and the assisted mechanism. Some might say it is "too assisted", but for me it adds to the fidget factor.

Au premier abord couteau intéressant pour des petits travaux de tous les jours le problème dès qu'on le reçoit la lame est complètement décentrée l'ouverture peut-être un peu dur si on a les doigts qui transpire très déçu de ce couteau je m'attendais un minimum de la part de cette marque à un couteau centré et pour un semi- assisté c'est vraiment honteux de leur part je suis profondément déçu

This knife exceeded my expectations. Its size and mechanism make it a complete EDC. I will also get the g10/d2 combination. 🦑🦑

Excellent urban EDC. 8Cr14MoV steel is good for light work (opening boxes, trimming edges, small cuts) and keeps a pretty good edge with the Work Sharp Field Sharpener. Very much pocket sized, snappy assisted open mechanism and a tough looking black finish. IMO, best low-budget EDC pocket knife I've used.
