The **DiaSharp Bench Stone D8EE** is an ultra-fine diamond-coated sharpening stone. With this sharpening stone you end up with results similar to those you would get if you use a Japanese sharpening stone. Diamond-coated sharpening stones quickly remove material and, thanks to the ultra-fine grain size of this sharpening stone, leave you with razor-sharp results. This DMT DiaSharp Bench Stone is the right size to sharpen anything from small pocket knives to large kitchen knives.

## DMT Bench stone D8 sharpening stones

The advantage of diamond sharpening stones is that they don't have to be lapped. For this DiaSharp stone the diamond particles were added to a 9 mm thick steel sheet. This guarantees the flatness of the sharpening stone and its weight ensures that it stays in place during use. 

## Information about the grain sizes of DMT sharpening stones.

The grain size of a diamond-coated stone and a water stone cannot easily be compared. This is because the construction and materials used are substantially different. With a water stone, the sharpening grains are incorporated into the stone. These grains are also released from the stone during use and become some kind of sharpening paste. With a diamond-coated stone, the diamonds are secured in the surface of the stone.

## How to use DMT D8 sharpening stones

You can use the DMT sharpening stones with or without water. The advantage of sharpening with water is that the stone is lubricated and the sharpening residue is removed. Never use oil, always water. It's also good to know that a diamond-coated sharpening stone needs to be pre-sharpened. A brand-new diamond sharpening stone removes quite a lot of material. Only after 5 to 10 knives does the stone have its final effect.

Excellent service and quality.i brought this Grade in order to put a nice finish edge on my chisels,it does a great job,i would recommend

Gooi al die andere slijp-stenen maar weg: deze doet (eindelijk) wat ie moet doen: 
scheermes-scherp slijpen in no-time!
Ook onmogelijk scherp te slijpen (62HRC) staal!(D2) is een makje voor deze "steen".
Extra extra fijn neemt zo snel af dat een groffere"steen" overbodig lijkt.
Bovendien geen vieze smurrie meer!., Een beetje nat maken en gaan met die banaan!

ich habe viele pfeil und andere  gute schnitzeisen und diese immer zum schärfen weggegeben .aber dann habe ich ein schärf video von einer bildhauerin gesehen,,, mary may heissst sie ,und hatte diese diamantplatte .jetzt sind meine eisen schärfer als neu gegauft und ich bin sehr zufrieden und glücklich ,ausserdem hab ich keine angst mehr ein eisen zu verschleifen , die platte ist genial.

Nachdem ich einen Schleifstein suchte für Keramikmesser, bin ich über ein Youtubevideo auf diesen Schleifstein gekommen. Nach dem Erhalt, machte ich gleich mal ein paar probeversuche und alleine die haben mich schon voll überzeugt davon. Also ein erstklassiges Produkt, das seinem Preis Wert ist. Vielen Dank
