Upon picking this up, my first impressions are that it has a very satisfying heft to it, though I was not initially impressed by the grip. It grows on you though, especially if you have slightly larger hands, as it gives you a great grip. The blade is huge, but that's why I chose it, it's big enough to chop and of a manageable size for most cutting tasks. It's made for extreme environments, and as I will be living in the north of Sweden soon, it will see some use. It's not an ideal knife for the UK though, it's size/price is the issue, you would probably be better off with a smaller knife and a machete/hatchet. Build quality is excellent, has a nice edge. The leather sheath is welcome, and has grommets to allow it to be tied down. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. Was shipped promptly, at a great price, well packed.
