With the FireSteel Army it's easy and quick to make fire. If you stroke a metal strip or a knife over the magnesium swab, a shower of sparks of 3000 degrees Celsius will set some wood powder or cotton aflame. Of course you can also quickly ignite a gas burner or barbecue with the FireSteel Army. And unlike matches or a lighter, they are not at all impressed or bothered by water.  
   


This heavy duty execution can be used about 12,000 times. The scraper is equipped with an emergency whistle.

Moin zusammen,

Firesteel-Model Army kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Feuer anmachen ging sehr schnell. Gute Handhabung, Preis leistung geht so könnte etwas günstiger sein. Aber wer Qualität will muss wohl etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen.

I didn't have a chance to go to the woods to try this or may be I never will have but for the efficiency of this fire rod, despite all the moaning by many people that this rod is too small and very awkward to use, I would say this is a very good sized rod with a very efficient small scrapper.  I tried at home and believe me , it one of the best fire rod I own and being a compact model , I recommend that everybody should have this in their EDC kit. I highly recommend this product.

Works well and does exactly what it shoud

Un objet qui reste fidèle une fois dans la poche. Le bâton est un peu court : c'est pénible pour faire démarrer un feu dans des conditions strictement pas optimales, mais largement suffisant et fiable pour allumer un réchaud à gaz ou de l'alcool à brûler par exemple.
