NiteCore EA4 is a relatively compact torch with a maximum light output of 860 ANSI lumens. The EA4 torch is powered by 4 x AA penlite batteries or rechargeable NiMH batteries. Thanks to its ingenious reflector, this torch has an exceptional beam intensity with an enormous throw distance, particularly given the size of the torch.

Nitecore EA4 is a relatively compact torch with a maximum light output of 860 ANSI lumens. The EA4 torch is powered by 4 x AA penlite batteries or rechargeable NiMH batteries. Thanks to its ingenious reflector, this torch has an exceptional beam intensity with an enormous throw distance, particularly given the size of the torch.   
  

Attention to detail is superb. The battery holder has been designed in such a way that the batteries can only be inserted in the correct way, even in darkness. An ingenious, rotating section on the tailcap completes the picture.  
  


The EA4 features an innovative two-stage switch (comparable to a camera shutter button) for full operation:   
  



* Press the switch all the way down to switch on and off. 

* Press the switch halfway down to access the various modes. When you switch off the torch, it will retain the last mode when pressed halfway down. 

* Press the switch all the down twice in quick succession to enter the strobe mode. When in the strobe mode, press the switch all the way down and hold for more than one second to cycle through the strobe, SOS and location beacon modes. The location beacon mode flashes once every three seconds. 

* To turn the light off and enter the lockout mode, press the switch all the way down and hold for more than one second. The light will go on briefly. To exit the lockout mode, press the switch all the way down and hold for more than one second.




Around the button is a luminous ring that flashes every 3 seconds. This clever feature makes the torch easy to find in the dark. However, it does not work when the torch is in the lockout mode.   
  


In addition to this, the luminous ring gives a warning when the torch is half empty or almost completely empty. The voltage of the batteries is also shown whenever the torch is in the lockout mode.   
  


It may all sound rather complicated but if you play around with your torch, you will soon become familiar with all its functions. This torch is a complete, ingenious product with an enormous light output.   
  

**5-year warranty on material and construction defects  
  


*The specification of the light intensity is carried out in accordance with the NEMA FL 1-2009 standard. This means that the values can be lower than indicated in previous specifications. This lower value obviously does not affect the light intensity of the torch. The advantage of having the ANSI / NEMA FL 1-2009 standard is that the values can easily be compared with one another and give a true reflection of daily practice.**

Na twee jaar gaf deze lamp de geest, onherstelbaar kapot, en dat voor een lamp van 95 euro!
Ik kan deze lamp dus zeer beslist NIET aanraden!

Sinds begin dit jaar in gebruik, en dan wordt het toch tijd voor een review.
De Nitecore EA4, de minivuurtoren, klein zonnetje, etc., het is een indrukwekkend ding. In de aanbieding, en dan krijg je heel veel waar voor je geld. Ik gebruik ´m om in het weiland vee te controleren als er weinig licht is, en dat gaat PRIMA! De opgegeven 283 Meter wordt waar gemaakt, en is zuinig met de batterijen. De maximale brandtijd van 22 uur is niet super lang, maar ruim voldoende in dagelijks gebruik. 
De lichtkleur is prima, geen vervelde blauwe tint oid. Het lichtbeeld is vrij breed, dat is vaak handig als je in het donker wat zoekt of wil controleren. Het enige wat me tegenstaat aan deze  (toch wel geweldige) zaklamp is de tweetrap-schakelaar. Het gemak van 2 schakelaars of een schakelaar en verstelling aan de kop is zoveel prettiger in mijn beleving, maar er is mee te leven.
De afwerking is perfect, en werkt geheel naar behoren. De 5 standen zijn voldoende. 
Levering was vlot en correct.
Al met al is het een erg goede zaklantaarn voor grote afstand, voor bijvoorbeeld op de boerderij, beveiliging, op een boot of industrieterrein.

Een geweldige lamp!,  
Geeft meer licht als dat ik had verwacht.
De afwerking is zeer degelijk 

De enige minpunten zijn:

•De laagste stand had van mij wat lager mogen zijn, dit is natuurlijk persoonlijk.

•De stickers die aan de binnenkant van het batterij compatiment zitten om de polariteit van de batterijen aan te geven hebben losgelaten deze waren al los toen ik de lamp uit de verpakking haalde.
Opzich geen probleem de batterijen kunnen er maar op een manier in, het staat alleen wat slordig.
•De lamp gaat makkelijk aan in het holster daarom moet je eraan denken om de lamp op lockout te zetten anders zit je met lege batterijen.


Verder een prima product, en netjes geleverd door k&t!


Uitstekende zaklamp. simpelweg 4 klikken 4 lichtsterktes.
Werkt simpelweg op standaard 4AA penlite batterijen/oplaadbare batterijen. Een aanrader.

Voila une petite lampe torche qui éclaire comme en plein jour, c'est extraordinaire. L'utilisation du bouton unique demande un peu de réflexion dans les premiers temps mais on s'y habitue très vite. Des la première prise en main, on sent que la qualité est au rendez-vous. Très beau produit. J'en suis très satisfait.
