Overall, this is a good knife; it's not perfect by any means, but it is an honest knife and represents good value for the price. Positives include: The G10 scales are grippy and the translucent colour is funky and fun. I like the way you can see the partial skeletonisation of the liners. Solid deployment with a gentle 'click', rather than a thumping steel clang - refreshingly polished. The simplified screws are attractive and provide a clean profile. I can't speak to ease of strip-down as yet; early days. The gimping is 'grippy not rippy', so won't pull your skin off. Negatives include: The handle is very long and I have relatively small hands which means the egros are rubbish for me when I want to close the knife. The axis-style locking mechanism is just good enough, but it lacks the polish of say a Benchmade. I always seem to be attracted to black blades, and then I regret it because of how quickly cheaper coatings come off - I fear this is going to be a similar story, so I would probably go for a silver blade if I bought it again (but that's on me). I dropped the knife on its scales onto a hard tile from a good height and ... it was fine, so the G10 scales are good to go! There are no hotspots for me on the handle and the clip is slim and effective. For the price and for the steel, I'm happy this is a solid choice for those able to carry it as an EDC (obviously not carry-friendly) and a pretty option for a collector of budget knives. This was my first Real Steel knife and I must say I'm quite impressed by the fit and finish; once you factor in the materials and price, it's a pretty great knife.
