The container where the firestarter is stored also offers space to a small but effective compass. Both the firestarter and the compass can be mounted inwards and outwards. The protective rings can be removed to attain this. This way the container functions as a sturdy handle. Futhermore, the container can be used to store some smalle things, such as flammable material.
