Fenix has well understood that not everyone is looking for a large, expensive head lamp with lots of features and light. For many, a compact head light that you can store in a small corner and that gives enough light for the daily common applications, is absolutely ideal. We believe that with the HL22 Fenix has released a great model. It is small with a swivel head and has 3 light modes and an SOS-mode: all you need. Of course it is waterproof according to IPX-6 standard. It uses the off-the-shelf AA batteries. And the light output of 120 lumens is really more than enough for most circumstances. Of course, there are many torches which give more light, but this is often not necessary.
