The **Fenix HL30 2018 edition** is an all-round head torch for camping. It contains a powerful beam with a maximum output of 300 ANSI lumens. It is also enhanced with a red LED light which makes sure your night vision is maintained. The great thing about the Fenix HL30, 2018 edition is that it works with two AA batteries. These are readily available to make sure you will never be without light.



For the design of this head torch Fenix looked at the design of the classic photo camera. The position of the white LED light looks like the lens of an SLR camera and the control button on top might remind you of the shutter button of the same camera.



The great thing about the Fenix HL30 2018 is that each LED light has a specific control button. The right button for the white LED light with its five light modes and the left button for the red LED light and the flashing modes. In the highest mode the Fenix HL30 functions up to 30 hours with NiMH batteries. In the lowest mode it can last up to 200 hours. This Fenix HL30 works with two AA batteries. Two alkaline batteries are included, but it also works fine with the more sustainable NiMH batteries. These can be charged in a separate charger.

Mijn eerste en enige hoofdlamp. Ik kan dus niet de vergelijking maken met andere hoofdlampen. 
Deze ziet er in ieder geval goed uit, de batterijen waren zonder veel moeite in de behuizing te krijgen. De bediening werkt goed, de hoofdband knelt niet en houdt de lamp goed op zijn plaats. Ik ervaar voldoende licht om bij te kunnen lezen en ook in de verte schijnt hij goed. Geen spijt van deze aankoop.

kwalitatief goed en erg goede lichtopbrengst, het rode ledje is ook een uitkomst. Alleen het batterijcompartiment vind ik wat knullig, niet fenix waardig. Hierdoor heb ik wel mijn twijfels hoe waterdicht-/afstotend hij is. Het compartiment zit niet mooi strak dicht, dus ik verwacht als ik hiermee in de regen sta de lamp de geest zal geven. Tot nu toe heb ik de enkele hoofdband gebruikt en die voldoet voor mij prima. 

Prima hoofdlamp. licht output is goed om mee te kunnen werken. ( in de middelste stand ) . Batterij verwisselen gaat wel lastig, het lijkt bijna alsof je hem open moet breken.
Met alleen de hoofdband die rond je hoofd gaat werkt het al prima, maar met de band voor over je hoofd heb je nauwelijks door dat je een lampje op je hoofd hebt.

Mooie compacte hoofdlamp.Batterijen zitten in de lampunit.Voor mij is dat van belang omdat ik regelmatig aan auto's werk,als je er dan onderligt heb je geen last van een battery pack achter op je hoofd.
Lichtopbrengst is ruim voldoende voor deze toepassing
