Wederom de gebruikelijke snelle en correcte afhandeling van KATO.

Fantastisch stukje vakwerk dit mes, maar toch teleurstelling over het berkenhout. De ene helft van het heft heeft een prachtige houttekening. De andere helft is echter vreselijk saai. Niks gevlamd; zelfs beukenhout is nog bijna mooier. Hout is weliswaar een natuurproduct en daarom zijn er altijd afwijkingen, maar ik verwacht van Fontenille Pataud dat ze oog hebben voor een mooie afwerking. Daar weten ze drommels goed dat je dit mes koopt omdat het mooi is. Niet omdat het saai is. Waarom dan toch zo zuinig doen om minder geslaagde stukken hout te gebruiken? Kortom, je moet geluk hebben als je dit mes koopt. In de mooie helft zit overigens een begin van een scheurtje. Is mooi weggewerkt en niet te zien voor leken, maar ook dit suggereert een misplaatste zuinigheid bij Fontenille Pataud.
