The Robert Klaas Trapper is a fancy and slim pocket knife, made in Solingen. It is made according to the traditional Trapper pattern, a classic hunting knife. Great for gutting smaller game, but also as a gentleman’s knife it is a winner.
The handle on this Robert Klaas knife is made from blue poplar burl, root wood from the poplar tree, stabilized with blue resin. The result is a handle with an amazingly luxurious look and feel. It might be a little hard to believe that in the basis it is still a simple tree! On the side you can find the logo of the Hen & Rooster: the two famous chickens who unitedly look in the same direction. The bolsters are made from luxurious nickel silver.
This pocket knife has one clippoint blade. It can be opened with two hands and is kept in place by a slipjoint. This combination of a two-handed opening and the missing lock enables you to carry this knife with you wherever you might go.
The blade is made from 1.4034 steel, a stype of steel that is, in terms of qualities, similar to the more famous 420 types of steel. Stainless, easy to sharpen and retains its sharpness well.
