The Silky Nata Axe is indispensable when pruning smaller branches and debarking trees.
The focus of the Silky Nata is placed on the SKS51-stainless steel blade. Because of the distribution of the weight it will be easier to use. The limited length makes the Nata very manoeuvrable. As a result you won’t need as much space when you tackle dense vegetation.
Because of its rectangular shape the Nata is not only great to use for scraping, it also makes it easier to hold it with two hands. As a result it is the perfect tool when you want to remove the bark from wood to make sure it dries quicker!
The comfortable rubber handle absorbs the most of the shock when chopping. Also great: you can remove the rubber handle to properly clean the Nata before you store it.
The Silky Nata comes with a solid pouch you can attach to your belt. The pouch is made from aluminium and plastic. The belt loop can be mounted to the pouch with a ‘quick-release’ enabling you to easily and quickly remove the pouch from your belt to make sure it doesn’t get in the way.
The Nata is available in both a single-edge (sharpened on one side) and a double-edge (sharpened on both sides) version. The benefit of a single-edge blade is that you can use it under a more steep angle, making it perfect for debarking trees. When you are pruning the double-edge is great because it has a larger splitting effect. Both versions can be used for the same purposes, the only difference is the user-friendliness.
Axe or machete? The traditionally designed Silky Nata is called an axe in Japanese. When you use it the Nata equals a light hand axe or machete.
