The **Tojiro Shippu Black damascus turning knife 7 cm** is the definition of less is more. The blade is curved which turns peeling or cutting potatoes or apples an amazing experience. The blade is 7 cm long and therefore perfect for the smaller cutting and peeling tasks in the kitchen.

 ## Tojiro Shippu Black series

 The Tojiro Shippu Black collection is a variation on the existing and popular Shippu collection. The knives from the black collection can be recognized by the dark look of the knife. The knives are traditionally forged from 63 layers of damascus steel. The core of the blade is made from VG10 steel. The blade, with its VG-10 steel core is corrosion resistant because of a process with black iron oxide. The same process also clearly brought forward the pattern in the Damascus steel blade. The blade is polished and shines like a mirror. As such it is a razor-sharp jewel in the kitchen!

 The handle also contributes to the remarkable character of this knife. The handle is made from burnt chestnut wood which not only makes the wood stronger and more sustainable, but also gives it that stunning black colour which makes the knife look very chic. In between the handle and the blade you will find a black polypropylene bolster. A very strong plastic which finishes the great design. The handle has an asymmetrical shape which makes the knife mostly suited for right-handed use. This knife is not dishwasher proof.

Das Messer selbst macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Überrascht hat mich das Gewicht, es fühlt sich sehr leicht an. Für ein Schälmesser aber vielleicht gerade gut. Wirklich schlecht ist aber der Schliff: ungleichmäßig und annähernd stumpf.

Ik was al enkele jaren op zoek naar het schilmesje uit de Tojiro Shippu Black serie die voor mij niet onder doet voor de prijziger en meer uitgebreide Tojiro Flash serie. Eindelijk gevonden. Dat schilt toch wel ff wat beter dan het Aldi mesje dat ik tot het moment van aanschaf gebruikte.
