For a comparatively compact axe, the Carpenter's Fine Axe is still fairly weighty. The head is quite wide with a cutting edge of 9.5 cm. It is possible to grip the axe pretty short behind the head, so that you can work precisely. In this way, it can be used as a chisel or knife. Hence why this model is named after a Carpenter. The back of the head can be used as a hammer.
