WÜSTHOF has fantastic value for money with its Gourmet series The knives have the same high quality WÃ¼sthof stands by. The blade is laser cut from a single piece of steel (chromium-molybdenum-vanadium). The polypropylene handle is attached to the blade with tightly-secured rivets. The blade runs through the entirety of the handle. The result is a knife that looks very similar to the knives from the Wusthof Classic series. But because of the production method the Gourmet knives considerably cheaper. Many users find the lower weight an advantage as well. The Gourmet series is very comprehensive so anyone can put together their ideal knife set.  
   


The chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel retains its sharpness whilst also being able to sharpen easily. Although these kitchen knives can go in the dishwasher, we advise anyway to wash them by hand.  
   


This Chinese kitchen knife is shaped like a cleaver but is not suitable for chopping bones. It can be used for cutting herbs and vegetable.

This cleaver is a good fit for my hand which is small. My husband has bigger hands and is also happy with the fit. I use it to cut up meaty bones for my dogs. Before I got it I had an awful job cutting pieces to size but now I find the job quite easy

Ok for chopping off chicken feet, say but not lamb bones
