These Panasonic Eneloop Pro batteries hardly lose capacity when they are not used, and therefore perform better in many circumstances than other batteries with a higher capacity! Today a 'regular' NiMH AAA battery has a capacity of approx. 2500 to 2700 mAh, but loses a large part of its capacity in a couple of months. After a year these batteries still maintain 85% of their original charge. Other rechargeable batteries will be empty after twelve months. 

A lower internal resistance creates better efficiency because less energy is lost in the form of heat. As such the difference is negligible with batteries that have a higher capacity. The advantages in this case, are real advantages!

Panasonic Eneloop Pro batteries are the successors of the Eneloop XX batteries. They are charged upon delivery.
