Estwing hammers added to our range

Estwing hammers added to our range

Our range has been expanded with even more Estwing hammers. It is a brand that many DIY enthusiasts and professionals already know, because the hammers are forged from a single piece, fit perfectly in the hand, and remain reliable for years, even under heavy daily use. Anyone who occasionally hangs something up or repairs a fence will notice that an Estwing hammer works comfortably. But even with daily use, on construction sites or in the workshop, these hammers continue to feel dependable. This reliability is due to the fact that they are forged from a single piece of steel.

Where it all began

Estwing was founded in 1923 by Ernest O. Estwing. His idea was to offer the strongest possible construction for tools. The brand eventually became known for its hammers forged from a single piece of steel. Dangerous loose heads and the necessary joints were thus eliminated. Initially, the hammers featured a beautiful laminated leather grip, later complemented by the exclusive nylon grip. This blue grip is the most durable option and a perfect addition to Estwing’s laminated leather handle line. After more than two years of testing, Estwing’s new Shock Reduction Grip was perfected. Eventually, Estwing also applied this concept to axes, resulting in full-tang axes.

Tools for the enthusiast

The focus at Estwing is still very much on claw hammers. Classic models for carpentry, with a straight or curved claw and either a smooth or milled striking face. All hammers are fully full-tang and finished with handles such as stacked leather rings or Estwing’s well-known Shock Reduction Grip®, designed to absorb shock during hammering as effectively as possible.

The upcoming expansion makes the range more versatile. Rubber mallets for assembly jobs where you want to protect materials. Dead blow hammers for controlled strikes without rebound, ideal for metal or machine parts. In addition, compact carpenter’s axes and ball peen hammers are being added for those working with metal or precision tasks. This way, the range increasingly matches real-world needs.
