The Adler Short Splitter is a tough splitting axe with lots of power. The handle is a bit shorter than that of the Adler Long Splitter, red-black, splitting axe. The heavy head with the wide wedge pushes the wood apart very effectively. The axe is completely produced in Germany and comes with a solid leather sheath.

Expectations
I needed a short splitting axe to deal with some larger logs in a delivery of kiln dried logs for my log burner stove - some had either not been split or need splitting more. This axe does the job perfectly - its excellent quality, not too heavy and its short enough to be able to easily control.
