The **Beavercraft P01 Small Polishing Compound Green, 7 microns** is a polishing compound you use to polish the hard steel of your wood carving knives. The mixture is intended for finishing cutting tools that require high precision reworking, perfect for polishing an edge after you have sharpened it. The grit size of the green compound is between 5 an 7 microns.

## How to use the Beavercraft Polishing Compound

You use this polishing compound in combination with a strop. A strop is a sharpening tool usually consisting of a piece of wood and a piece of leather. You add the compound to the surface of the leather, covering the entire thing. Then, applying light pressure, draw your tool along the leather. Always strop in the direction of the spine of the blade, so you don't cut into the leather. 

You don't have to apply the compound often. This depends on how often you use the strop. Add more compound if the performance of the strop decreases. Usually reapplication every few weeks is sufficient.
