The Benchmade Nimravus 140BK is a tough survival knife. Its slim profile is striking: many knives in this class are slightly thicker or a little 'higher'. As such the Nimravus is comfortable to take with you and beloved by soldiers and survival enthusiasts.
You don't come across an aluminium handle on a fixed knife that often. And yet it was exactly what Benchmade selected for this knife. Because of the matt black coating that covers the milled grip pattern you have enough grip. The subtle cut-out in the front of the handle ensures you that you have more grip options than you might expect at first. It tells you that Benchmade carefully thought this through.
The blade is made from 154CM. Stainless and relatively easy to sharpen. It retains its sharpness well and with the right heat treatment you know it can handle its own. Very safe!
The Benchmade Nimravus 140 comes with a MOLLE compatible nylon sheath. It is also enhanced with MOLLE loops in the front to make sure you are very flexible in terms of carrier actions. Benchmade added a plastic insert to the sheath which is lined with felt-like material. As a result the knife won't move around in the sheath.
