The Buck 119 Brahma is a very tough hunting knife! The handle is made out of brown leather discs combined with some dark parts of micarta. The knife comes with a very nice sheath that has a kydex insert. The MOLLE-compatible attachment is made out of nylon.

Pracht mes! Vlijmscherp, zoals van Kniveandtools te verwachten is, maar toch blijft dat het vermelden waard: zo'n splinternieuw mes wil je niet eerst zelf moeten slijpen met de kans het te verknallen natuurlijk!
Ik twijfelde even tussen de Buck 119 Special (misschien doe ik die ook wel . . als collectors item!) en de Buck 117 small Brahma die ik als eerste zag. Maar de small Brahma is dus klein.
Eigenlijk heb ik dit mes puur op het uiterlijk gekocht. Wel enkele reviews gelezen op andere sites maar Buck maakt gewoon goede messen die het geld waard zijn.
Toch een puntje: het lemmet lijkt zwart geverfd. Op zich geen bezwaar, maar in het begin geeft het iets af en het slijt iets als je het mes wat gewelddadiger gebruikt. Dat haalt het nieuwe er meteen wat van af, maar geeft het mes wel een mooi "gebruik míj voor die klus!" uiterlijk. Daar integen is de meegeleverde schede wat onhandig. Het mes is er niet snel uit te halen er weer terug te stoppen. Geeft niks, ik kan best een andere schede maken en ik het dit mes als mes gekocht, niet om de schede. 
Overigens een best sterk lemmet, het heft is niet enorm sterk ben ik bang. Maar ruim voldoende voor buiten klusjes, hak werk, breekwerk, donderjagen buiten! De greep is groot, en in het begin wat glad: even nat maken en dat is hersteld. Wel opletten, dit mes is van gewoon uitstekend messen staal en dus niet roestvast. Dit lemmet is zoals het hoort te zijn!

(Nog een nadeel: je mag natuurlijk niet overal vrij rond banjeren in Nederland met zo'n mes, en de neiging dat wel te doen is groot, want mooi en stoer mes!)

Typisches Buck 119 Messer mit  schwarzer Cordura-Scheide, um es am Gürtel zu tragen. Messer ist vom Stil her einem Kampfmesser des USMC nachempfunden !

Messer liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Und die optik spricht für sich. Aus meiner Sicht würde ich dieses Messer auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Das heißt ich würde es immer wieder kaufen.
