The Case RussLock is a remarkable pocket knife. You open it with the front flippper, after which it is locked by a liner lock. In addition to a liner lock there is also a slipjoint that offers additional resistance. As such the Case Russlock is a truly unique pocket knife.
Case Tang Stamp collection
Ever since the early days Case has marked each blade with a so-called 'Tang stamp'. A stamp that is added to the ricasso, the flat part of the blade just before the pivot. Throughout the years the stamps change every couple years. Today every ten years. The result is that Case has quite the archive filled with different stamps from different periods. A shame to leave them there collecting dust, according to Case. That is why they introduced the Tang Stamps collection. Each model in this collection is enhanced with a middle bolster on the handle that contains a tang stamp from a specific period. Place them next to each other and you will have a great overview of the evolution of the Case logo from 1920 up to now.
This Case Russlock is enhanced with the 'Curve C - Xs & Dots' tang stamp that was used between 2010 and 2019.
Case Tru-Sharp SS steel
The blade is made from Case Tru-Sharp SS. This is a stainless type of steel that is similar to 420HC steel. Characterizing about this type of steel is that you can quickly sharpen it and have a razor-sharp knife.
Olive Green Bone, Peach Seed Jig
The handle is made from Olive Green Bone with a Peach Seed Jigged texture. This is basically cow bone that is enhanced with an interesting texture. Afterwards it is enhanced with a nice colour and polished. This is a truly classic type of handle material which radiates class and elegance.
Case Knives: traditional pocket knives
Case has been producing pocket knives ever since 1889. Each pocket knife is assembled and finished by hand, relatively unique for an American brand. As a result each Case knife is unique. Case knives are incredibly collectible and a great addition to your standard EDC pocket knife. Great as a gift, both for yourself or someone else.
