The **Eden Takobiki Ryoba 30 cm** is a large samurai sword for in the kitchen. With a blade length of 27 cm you can easily cut the thinnest pieces of sashimi!


This Takobiki, however, isn't just any type of knife. As soon as you take the Takobiki from the included wooden sheath you can hear the sound of hundreds of Taiko drums in the distance. Your kitchen will transform into a misty bamboo forest. With the Takobiki you try to find your way, waving it around. But the fog makes it hard for you to see. The Taiko drums stop. You are back in your kitchen. In front of you the best sushi you have ever prepared.


## The blade


The blade has a core of Shirogami steel surrounded by 16 layers of stunning damascus steel. The hardness of the core is approximately 62 HRC. The engraving is hammered into the blade by hand. As such it is not even over the entire length of the blade. But that is simply what makes the knife so charming!
The wooden sheath is called a Saya. It protects the blade against scratches and makes it possible to easily store the knife in your kitchen drawer. 


## The Handle


The handle is made from Red Sandal wood. One of the most valuable types of wood in Asia. The deep colour and the unique pattern in the wood makes each knife unique. The D-shape of the handle makes the knife perfect for right-handed users.
