The **CQC-8 Mini Horseman** is a solid pocket knife, designed to meet the demand of the Emerson customers. Striking is the optimal ergonomics of the handle. The shape of the grip with the big finger groove in front makes this knife feel great in your hand. Also the width of the grip around the tip is just right so your fingers feel perfect around it. This is a big knife suited to your needs!



## the Emerson Wave opener


You can open the CQC-8 Mini Horseman in two different ways: with the thumb disc on the back of the blade, or with the Emerson Wave. The wave on the back of the blade is characteristic of many Emerson folding knives. This "hook" can be used to open the pocket knife while you take it out of your pocket. When you take the knife out of your pocket, the wave sticks behind the edge of your pocket automatically opening the knife. It can also be used as a bottle opener, which is awesome! Cheers!


## The handle


The handle is made of G10 which gives a lot of grip. The G10 and the shape of the handle make it feel like the knife almost sticks to your hand. Both with the blade facing up and facing down, the handle provides great grip. Inside the grip there are titanium liners. These keep it pretty low in weight.


## The blade


The blade of Mini Horseman is made of 154CM steel. This type of steel was developed in the 1970s for turbine blades of Jet engines, but is nowadays better known as premium steel for knives. The blade has a regular V-grind, sharpened on one side. According to Emerson it is easier this way to sharpen in the field. It has a pretty big recurve which makes cutting ‘towards yourself’ easier. The blade has a stonewashed finish and in the open position a liner-lock keeps the blade in place.



## History of Emerson Knives


The foundation for Emerson Knives as we know it today dates back to 1979, when Ernest Emerson began making custom knives. His background as a soldier and martial arts instructor gave him clear ideas about how a knife should be made. In 1996 Emerson increased his production to have more people be able to work with his knives. He founded Emerson Knives and started producing folding knives and fixed knives on a large scale. Today *Emerson Knives* is a family business with eye for detail and focus on usage and what the user wants.

Sterk mes. 
De eenzijdige slijping moet je wat gewoon worden. 
Tevreden over de aankoop. 

Bij dit merk gaat het om waar een mes voor bedoed is. Gebruiken en misbruiken gaat ook prima. Er zijn messen die mooier zijn afgewerkt,maar de doordachte simpele constructie is nou juist het mooien van dit merk. De mini CQC 8 is een goed bruikbare maat en niet te tactisch vergeleken met de andere modellen. Het Emerson wave systeem werkt echt geweldig. De grip is perfect, veel andere merken kunnen hier een voorbeeld aan nemen.Dit mes moet wel inlopen en gaat in het begin stroef. Nu vliegt het open. Kan het aanraden.
