The Fenix TK61 is part of the spotlights family of Fenix. These 'light canons' usually combine the use of several LED's in one reflector, but the TK61 works with a single LED. The maximum light output of this LED is very high: 1000 lumens. Even though multiple LED's may produce more light, the TK61 reflector is optimized for a single LED. The beam of light is, thanks to the large size of the reflector, very smooth and very focused. This provides a range of 824 metres. A range which many other torches do not come close to, despite their higher light output. A longer burn time is an additional positive effect.  
   


Of course, the Fenix TK61 has all the features you would expect of a torch like this. This includes a direct switch-operated strobe- and turbo mode.  
  


The TK61 has a heavy-duty body that can also be used with 8 18650 batteries, if you use the extender. This doubles the burn time one more time.

la lampe n atteind pas les 860 m annoncé.500m est la portée maximale mais satisfait de mon achat.et le site est parfait merci

Lamp schijnt goed, een vriend van me had de Armytek Barracuda gekocht, maar echt zeer veel verschil in verte is er niet echt, Misschien paar meter maar. Wel de kring die is veel breder dan de barracuda maar dat komt natuurlijk omdat de kop groter is. Verder een echte aanrader!

Bij het verrichten van inventarisaties Flora- en fauna 's nachts is een beetje licht vaak meer dan welkom. Deze lantaren geeft nog meer licht dan de TK41 van Fenix; echt een bak met licht!! 
De lantaren is minder compact dan ik van de afbeelding had ingeschat, vooral de kop is te groot om in een heupriem te dragen en je moet echt een schouderriem gebruiken.
