The Gerber Vital Pocket Folder is a pocket knife for the hunt with an interchangeable blade. As a result you always cut with a razor-sharp knife, without having to sharpen your knife again before you can use it. You open this Gerber Vital pocket knife with one hand. When opened the blade is locked by a solid back lock.
The blades that the Gerber Vital uses are #60 replacement blades. With the push of a button and a small nudge you can easily remove the blade. The Gerber Vital Pocket Folder comes with a plastic case with six additional blades. After use you can also sharpen these blades to make sure you sharpen the ones you are not using. However, it is important to know that the blades are incredibly thin. As a result they are very useful when you want to gut game or process meat, but perhaps not as useful for other tasks. Woodwork, for instance, isn’t really an option with this blade.
The plastic handle has been enhanced with rubber overmoulds. This means that some parts of the handle have additional grip to make sure you can also use it with wet or bloody hands. On the side of the handle you will find a solid, steel pocket clip. With it you prevent the knife from falling from your pocket when you are walking through the woods.
