Full description
ThisLaguiole en Aubrac 12cm classic pocket knife is a classic Laguiole knife. The handle is made from a remarkable material. It is namely made from corn, drenched in synthetic resin. A remarkable material that looks unique on every knife. The spine of the handle is enhanced with stunning file-work. The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. Both the bolsters and the blade were polished. As such the knife looks extra fancy.
You open this Laguiole knife with two hands. In open state, a slip joint holds the blade in place. This is not an absolute lock, it only offers resistance to folding. When folding it is important to carefully lower the blade into the handle. Collapsing ensures that the blade touches the inside of the handle, which is a shame for its sharpness.
The Laguiole en Aubrac knives are made with love. This classic French pocket knife naturally has the characteristic little bee in the handle. The handmade pocket knife looks slim. Because of the manual labour and the natural materials used each pocket knife is unique.
The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same. All knives are unique This is also what makes them so special.
